Introduction of product
Polydimethyl Siloxane and Emulsifying Agents (Non-Ionic) are present in Simethicone Emulsion 30% USP. The water soluble simethicone has water repellent and anti-foaming properties. Dimethicones and silicon dioxide are combined to form simethicone. Simethicone helps to break up gas bubbles in your digestive tract. An adjunct therapy in the treatment of conditions in which excess gas is a problem, such as air swallowing, dyspepsia, peptic ulcers, post-operative gaseous distentions, and irritable colon, has proven efficacious for treating these conditions.
How does it work
Bloating can sometimes be caused by excess gas trapped in the stomach or intestines, and simethicone is used to relieve that pain. A baby, child, or adult can use simethicone. In simethicone emulsion, simethicone is mixed with water and preservatives.
It is a water diluable, non-ionic emulsion containing approximately 30% Simethicone USP. It is highly stable over a broad pH range.
Simethicones are used in drug manufacturing for anti-foaming purposes. They are used in Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of intestinal gas.
Dosage of usage
It is used to create a small film on the skin when applied on it, which prevents the penetration of ultraviolet rays, which leads to dry skin. Simethicone Emulsion 30% USP can also be found in cosmetics, such as skin care lotions. In addition, it is used to increase spreadability and stickiness in shave and hair care products. Razor blades can also be coated with this substance.
It is used as a stomach acidifier to alleviate symptoms of flatulence, gastric bloating and postoperative abdominal pain. In addition, it relieves symptoms commonly referred to as gas, including upper GL bloating, pressure fullness, and stuffed feeling.
It is also widely used, as it forms a thin layer inside the surface of the product, which prevents bacteria from growing inside and allows distilled water and other injectables to remain safe for human consumption.
