Prednisolone is used to treat eye inflammation caused by chemicals, heat, radiation, infection, allergy, or foreign bodies. It relieves itchiness, redness, burning, and swelling. Sometimes it is used as a post-operative treatment. Steroids are a class of medications that include prednisolone.

An eye condition caused by inflammation or injury can be treated with this medication. Prednisolone works by reducing swelling, redness, and itching. It is a corticosteroid.
How to use:
Place one drop into the pouch with the dropper. Keep your eyes closed for one or two minutes. Apply gentle pressure to the corner of your eye (near the nose) with one finger. Doing so will prevent the medication from draining out.
Dosage of usage:
Laboratory and/or medical tests (such as eye exams, blood sugar and mineral levels, blood counts, blood pressure, height and weight measurements, bone density tests and X-rays) should be performed regularly if this medication is used for an extended period. If you become infected, prednisone may decrease your ability to fight infection. While taking this medication, keep your hands clean and avoid contact with sick people. People with chicken pox or measles should be avoided.
