How does it work:
Aminophylline is a bronchodilator that works in many ways. It relaxes your chest and lungs muscles to allow more air into your lungs, decreases your lungs' sensitivity to allergens and other substances that cause inflammation, and increases diaphragmatic contractions to help draw more oxygen into the lungs.
Applications Or where it is used:
Aminophylline is used as a treatment for wheezing, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing associated with asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and other lung conditions. It relaxes and opens up air passages in the lungs, which makes it easier to breathe.
Manufacturing process:
You may add 500mg to 500mL or 250mg to 250mL of compatible infusion fluid (1mg/mL). The infusion pump should be used to administer the infusion. Medical personnel should review aminophylline infusions at agreed intervals for 24 hours or more and may continue these infusions for a further 24-48 hours.
How to use:
If taking the tablets or liquid on an empty stomach, do so at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating. Ensure that you swallow the tablets whole; do not chew or crush them. While it can control asthma symptoms, aminophylline does not cure lung diseases.
Dosage of usage:
The initially recommended dosage is 300 mg/day divided into six or eight doses each day. Increasing the dosage to 400 mg/day by divided doses over 6 to 8 hours after 3 days if tolerated.

- Persistent vomiting
